WHICH TREES SHOULD BE PROTECTED?
  The best candidates for fungicide protection are healthy, valuable elms. The injection process protects a tree for 3 growing seasons from infection by beetle carriers, after which time another injection is required.
  Without protection you risk infection which means a very large expense to remove these valuable trees. We have certified arborists who can also do you boulevard trees.

Ash Trees: Emerald Ash Borer
  If you are within 10-15 miles of confirmed infestation area, it's recommended that you protect your valuable ash trees.
  We offer insecticide protection using imidacloprid micro-injections to save your ashes. Our method injects the chemical directly into the cambial zone, right where the tree can use it most efficiently, taking the chemical and spreading it throughout the crown of the tree. No waiting period for uptake. Immediate protection.

In the city where much of the ground is covered with streets, parking lots, roofs and side-walks, flowing water carries pollutants (organic particles, pesticides, fertilizer, gas, oil and other residue) into storm drains. Organic matter (leaves and soil) and phosphorus from fertilizers harm lakes and rivers by promoting growth of algae and undesirable plants.

When you make a rain garden, you can help improve local water quality by catching rain, snow-melt and run-off so that they seep naturally into the ground to nourish roots. This also recharges the groundwater supply and improves the water quality of our lakes, creeks and the Mississippi river.

You're paying the city of Minneapolis $10-$25 per month for a "storm water fee." By installing a rain garden you can recoup part or all of this fee - so it pays for itself. The city also reimburses you for $75-$80 worth of plants to use in your rain gardens.
